Challenge Events

Our Challenge Events are a fantastic way to challenge your mind, body and fundraising skills. These events are life-changing not only due to their thrilling and exhilarating nature, but also because they help us to fund our crucial work. Supporting those with a sensory impairment to accomplish their goals comes at a cost.

We need you to take a leap of faith and join us on an exciting adventure whether that be running, cycling, swimming or climbing.

London to Paris 4 Day Cycle - September

Paris | Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026

Sign up to take on the London to Paris Cycle event, taking place from 23-26 September 2026. This amazing cycle challenge goes through the English and French countryside and is suitable for cyclists of all abilities.

We’ll look after you every step of the way. From training to fundraising to keeping you safe on the ride. All the information you need to know about the challenge, the route, our charity, plus how to rent a bike if you need one is available below.

This is truly a ride you will enjoy, be challenged by, and celebrate for a long time afterwards.

Broad Street, Oxford | Sunday, 11th October, 2026

This awesome course is fast and flat, it proudly guides runners through the pristine and winding streets of Oxford in all its historic delight. The Oxford Half Marathon begins in the centre of the city and winds past Old Marston village, the River Cherwell and onto the very impressive Lady Margaret University Hall, the finish line stands at Parks Rd.

Charity runners will be charmed and kept motivated with live music, local Oxford bands and DJs all along the course.

We are very proud to be a charity partner of the 2026 Bacchus Half Marathon and 10k!

Indulge in a spectacular blend of fine wine, elaborate costumes, and distance running at the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. This event transcends the typical race, offering participants an unforgettable experience complete with a festive hog roast, wine tastings at course water stations, and breathtaking vineyard vistas.

Between the live musical performances, gourmet food, and high-energy atmosphere, it’s a one-of-a-kind celebration of sport and spirit.

Royal Parks Half Marathon

Hyde Park, London | Sunday, 11th October, 2026 

This is the most spectacular half marathon that central London has to offer – it is a unique and inspiring event.  

Charity runners will glide through four of London’s stunning Royal Parks, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, St James’s Park and The Green Park. The 13.1m extraordinary route brushes past London’s most famous landmarks, including The Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, all on closed roads.  

Plus, the event village in Hyde Park hosts a fantastic food and fitness festival, ensuring a brilliant day out for runners and supporters alike. 

The Royal Parks Half is a beautiful event with charity at its heart and has raised nearly £60 million for over 1000 charity partners since 2008.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Battersea Park, where expansive grounds and lush greenery create a serene and picturesque setting for your bungee jump. As you stand at the top, ready to take the leap, you’ll be captivated by the awe-inspiring views of the River Thames and the iconic London skyline. Take in both the natural splendour and urban magnificence all of which add a unique and thrilling dimension to your bungee jump experience. A cycle sportive event offering three scenic routes. With 100K, 50K and family friendly 25K route, our local sportive offers something for everyone from keen cyclists to leisure and family.

The 100K Route takes you through the Ashdown Forest, towards Lewes and then through Burstow. You’ll go up and over Turners Hill, through Ardingly and Horsted Keynes, into the Ashdown Forest and then up the King & Queen of the Mountain Challenge – Kidds Hill, before returning via Forest Row and Crawley Down.

London 2 Brighton Ultra Challenge

23-24 May 2026

The ‘original’ Ultra Challenge! 2,000 or so adventurers will take on the Capital to Coast trails and test their grit & determination. Richmond-Upon-Thames is the start for most, and it’s over the North Downs with wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside to halfway at Turners Hill. The full 100km route heads over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view.

Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) Sunrise Challenge

Multiple dates.

Snowdon – A popular summit trek by daytime, it forms a real challenge by night.

Standing at the summit by moonlight will be an unforgettable experience, as will seeing the sunrise from the mountain slopes as we descend. Witnessing the spectacular landscapes opening up before us as the day grows lighter is a magical and unforgettable experience.

Kilimanjaro Trek

Multiple dates.

Mount Kilimanjaro is a magnet for trekkers the world over and one of the most impressive charity events on offer.

Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing our limits both physically and mentally on this, the mightiest of charity challenges.

This 11-day trek which follows the beautiful Machame Route, approaching Kilimanjaro from the south.

Take the leap of a lifetime and skydive for Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey! Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush by freefalling from 10,000 feet at 120mph. School, University and College Fundraising

There are many ways that your educational setting can get involved in raising money and awareness about Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, deafblind children and adults.

Whether it’s fancy-dress day, an art competition, summer fetes, a silent disco or a bake sale, fundraising is a great way for students to learn about people who have different sight and hearing experiences.

Why not:

Choose us as your ‘Charity of the Year’ and strengthen your own community by working together

Donate proceeds from an annual event, such as a summer fete, Christmas disco or bonfire night. We can supply leaflets, collection buckets and tins for your use on the day

Dedicate a non-school uniform or Christmas jumper day to us

Hold a weekly ice-cream or cake-bake sale

Ask us to come and give a short talk or presentation to you at one of your assemblies

There are many ways that your organisation can have fun whilst fundraising for us. Here are few ideas:

It could be a marathon, hike, fun run, swim, cycle or a sponsored hair cut

Sports tournaments, talent shows or themed costume days

Bake sales

Get everybody involved and enjoy some cake

Gift donations

Encourage friends and family to make a donation as a gift for special occasions, such as birthdays or weddings

Social gatherings

Invite friends, family or colleagues to enjoy a dinner party, quiz night or coffee morning in return for a donation

Set up a fundraising page

Creating your own fundraising page is really simple, just choose a good name and explain why our work is important. There are many different fundraising platforms to choose from, such as JustGiving, Crowdfunder and GoFundMe
